Mount Loch and Red Robin Mine
A rewarding full-day alpine adventure for dads and moderately fit nine-year-old children, with incredible scenery, shared challenges and plenty to discover along the way. Mount Loch is the day’s main destination, with the possibility of continuing to Red Robin Mine if the group’s pace, track conditions and weather make it safe and suitable.
A fun day out for dads and children to explore, laugh and enjoy the outdoors together. Along the way, there’ll be activity challenges, adventure missions and plenty of time to hike, chat, have fun and create great memories together. Children can lead the way, discover nature and share special moments that build confidence, connection and a sense of adventure.

Commence 10:50 am
This moderate section takes approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes, following established tracks with steady climbing and an exposed ridgeline.

This moderate-to-hard section takes about one hour and includes a long descent over uneven ground, where the track may be wet, soft or indistinct.

This hard section takes approximately 1½ hours, with the sustained return climb after lunch presenting the key challenge.

This moderate return section takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes and crosses exposed terrain, with tired participants requiring close supervision.
